Eye on JB Holmes

With the Players Championship ahead of us, let's take a look at the soon-to-be ROY: JB Holmes. As we stand, he has made 5 of 6 cuts, and has grossed ove $1M.
His results have been mediocre at best after his windfall check of $900k from the FBR Open.
These results, however, are understandable because of efficiency....or lack of it....what I mean by that is before FBR he could walk into any tournament unnoticed and give 100% concentration to his game. Looking at what has happened after FBR (in which Nance-meister practically annointed him as the next Tiger), he has had numerous interviews (both outside, and inside the ropes), an increase in autograph-seekers, and I'm sure many contacts from financial advisors. All this contributes to his inefficiency of time, thus the lack of concentration he can give to his game.

He stands 2nd in driving distance, but 155the in accuracy....no doubt due to the fact he is playing these courses for the first time. I'm sure by the end of the year his distance numbers will drop, and his accuracy will increase.
Until then though, he'll have to deal with this weeks' 5th major, and the rough there will be the toughest he's seen yet in his young career as PGA pro.

Thanks for reading. Keep it in the short-grass.
