Yeah, I played that

This weekend, the Champions Tour stops in the sleepy little town of Hoover Alabama, for the Regions Charity Classic at the Ross Bridge resort.

For me, there is nothing as fun as watching the pros play a course that I have had the privilege to play.
They will tee it up at 7200+ yards. We played it down from 6800+...but hey....they will have to putt the same greens we did!

My secret joy will be to watch these pros 3-jack some of those greens.....I'll be talking to the TV all weekend: "Hey Walrus! Number 3 ain't so easy is it?!....Hey, don't throw your club man, you still have 15 bad-ass holes left dude."....and...."Hey Chi-Chi, you don't look so good cha-cha."

After playing Ross Bridge in almost-pre-tournament condition...I can honestly say that the senior players have a kush tour-life. Ross Bridge is plush, with a capital P. And we're talking Champions Tour!

To stay at the resort hotel, look to plunk down $300 minimum. The resort is still in phase 1, with much development planned and currently being excecuted. Most courses on the Robert Trent Jones Trail (of which Ross Bridge is the newest entrant) have 36 holes and a par 3 course, so I'd expect the same, with another hotel and a residential area added to the mix.
There is a lot of room to expand in Hoover AL, which is just to the South of the most underrated city in America...Birmingham....what a great city!

Thanks for reading. Keep it in the short-grass.
