Full plate

TGIF!

For the last two weeks I've been chompin' at the bit to go to the annual golf show here, and now the day has finally arrived.
My friends at GolfDash.com gave me some of their cards to pass out at the event, so this will give me a good opportunity to talk with a few vendors and attendees that I wouldn't normally talk with.
That said, I will be conducting a live poll while there, and I will ask one question: Do you shop for golf stuff online, or in a store? I will post these results in this blog on Monday. Also, I will be on the lookout for anything at the show that strikes me as original.

In tow will be a friend of mine, a WW2 Navy vet and avid golfer. He and his brother used to caddy at Bethpage growing up. Down the line, I hope to post a Q&A with him, and post some of his remarkable memories from those days. Stories like his need to be recorded, if only for posterity.

Next month I will be in Savannah GA for a trade show, and I'm planning on taking my clubs with me. Any suggestions on a nice track ?

The day after the show, I will be drafting my baseball players for our leagues' annual fantasy baseball auction draft prior to the start of the season. I am documenting my attempt to win first place in our league this year, and you can follow along vicariously in my other weblog here.

Late spring I've been invited to a 3-day weekend to play 4 rounds of the RTJ trail . All 3 of us family-men were given hall passes by our gracious wives, and we're going to make the most of it. Along with golf will be some poker sprinkled in, so fun will be had by all. I am planning to document the excursion in my blog, and will be picking up a digital camera so I can upload scenes from this grand event.

If you plan on playing this week remember: JB Holmes and Bubba Watson never had any formal training. Holmes also battled dyslexia. Bottom-line...it's not so much how you hit the ball, but why.

Thanks for reading, keep it in the short-grass.
