In 2 weeks the HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship will be played in the tucked-in burg of New Rochelle, a town that has to have an state-line identity crisis, as it it shoe-horned in between NY, CT, NJ, and PA, along the Long island Shores.
It will feature 64 of the LPGA's top golfers, including defending champion Brittany Lincicome, competing for a $2,000,000 purse.
One of these 64 women is making a name for herself as we speak at the US Open this weekend: Twenty-year-old Julieta Granada hailing from Asuncion, Paraguay...currently ranked 24th in the world and winner of the 2006 ADT Championship, is currently is 6th place, 2 shots out of the lead.
She has been chronicling her preparation for this years HSBC Women's World Match Play Championship, which...oh, by the way...includes the US Open. It's a great read!
