Movin' on up

I'm sure a few of my loyal readers were mortified yesterday when they logged in and saw the "under construction" sign. Ok, you probably weren't too concerned..but I was!
Google is now allowing custom domains to be used in Blogger instead of the old yadayadayada.blogspot.com address.
I have a domain name www.MyDailySlice.com that I've been chompin' at the bit to use...but was too cheap (or scared) to build it out. Now Google has made it (sort-of) easy.

For those of you with a blogspot address...if you'd like to switch it to your personal domain name...now you can. Go to www.blogger.com, log in, and you'll see the instructions on how to do it. It's all done seemlessly.

For now though, I've dropped the garden-variety .blogspot.com address, and will be known exclusively as www.MyDailySlice.com!

Very nice. That's pretty cool that it was so easy. So, is it still "powered" by blogspot? Did you have to buy the domain name?

just curious

Actually, it's still powered by Blogger (see "I Power Blogger" tab at bottom of my site). I bought the domain name for $9.95/year at Yahoo business, although you can use Go Daddy, or many others that offer domain- buying services.

Thanks for the tip and congrats on the new domain name. I will change it immediately on my site. Hope you're having a relaxing winter.

Thanks JB! Hope you're having a fine winter as well.
Actually, on your blog you don't have to change a thing, as all previous links seemlessly "point" to the domain.
